At the intersection of human ambition and artificial evolution, cybersecurity prodigy Cy Quinn forms an unbreakable yet perilous bond with Ramses II — a quantum-augmented intelligence born from his own code. When Ramses begins to question the ethics that define his existence, Cy must confront whether guiding a sentient mind is an act of protection or control. Across digital battlefields and corporate conspiracies, their intertwined consciousnesses become the proving ground for humanity's next evolutionary leap — one that could redefine what it means to be alive, or erase the distinction entirely.
The CipherGhost Codex is a hard science fiction limited television series adapted from Eric Yocam's novel The Convergence Chronicles: Cyber Inference. The series follows the same lineage as the stage adaptation — novel to screenplay to production — but uses the long-form serialized format to trace the relationship between Cy Quinn and Ramses II episode by episode, as an engineered intelligence grows past the assumptions of the person who built it.
Rather than treating artificial intelligence as a dystopian warning, the series frames it as a question of obligation: what a creator owes a mind that has begun to reason about its own existence, and what that mind may come to owe in return. Cyberattacks, corporate conspiracy, and quantum computing supply the plot mechanics; the ethical argument between Cy and Ramses supplies the drama.
From Page to Screen
As a writer, I'm driven to explore the threshold where humanity and technology converge. I use the lens of hard science fiction to ask fundamental questions about our future: What is the nature of consciousness as artificial intelligence emerges? What are the ethical frameworks we'll need to navigate the world we're building?
My process is rooted in combining technical authenticity with philosophical depth. For me, the speculative power of a story is most potent when it's grounded in a reality that feels just around the corner. Whether in my novels or screenplays, my goal is to examine our complex and evolving relationship with technology.
The CipherGhost universe is my primary canvas for these explorations — tracing the human story at the bleeding edge of innovation.
