Rhyming picture books for ages 3–7, by Eric Yocam.
A series that follows Little Bloch as he explores the worlds of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity — one big idea at a time. Each book takes a single idea, gives it to a character, and lets children meet it years before the vocabulary arrives.

Little Bloch may seem a little strange at first. He glimmers, spins, follows unexpected paths, guards secrets, and discovers wonders wherever he goes. But before you say “Yuck!” to something new, Little Bloch has one important idea:
“Give it a chance. You might discover something wonderful.”
Don't Yuck My Qubit: Little Bloch's Adventure is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to curiosity, new ideas, and their very first taste of STEM through a lovable new character.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to ask questions and explore unfamiliar ideas.
Meet Little Bloch — a sparkly little qubit with a very special superpower. This time, Little Bloch faces a tricky problem with lots of possible ways to solve it. Instead of choosing just one path right away, he stays curious, explores the “maybe” paths, and looks for the best way forward.
Little Bloch's superpower has a big name: Superposition.
It helps him think about different possibilities and discover answers that might otherwise take much longer to find.
I Found It for You!: Little Bloch's Adventure is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to problem-solving, curiosity, possibilities, and their next playful taste of STEM through a lovable character.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to stay curious, consider different possibilities, and keep trying when a problem feels tricky.
Meet Little Bloch — a sparkly little qubit with a very special superpower. This time, one of Little Bloch's friends travels far away. As his friends wonder whether they can still feel connected across the distance, Little Bloch reveals something amazing about connection.
Little Bloch's superpower has a big name: Entanglement.
It's a special kind of connection that can remain, even across great distances.
We're Connected!: Little Bloch's Adventure Continues is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to friendship, connection, distance, and the idea of entanglement through a lovable character.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to stay curious, ask questions, and discover that being far apart doesn't always mean being disconnected.
Meet Little Bloch — a sparkly little qubit — and his brand-new buddy, Node. This time, Little Bloch and the boy meet Node, a bright new friend with glowing connection-points and a very special superpower. Show Node some examples, and he begins to notice the patterns they make.
Node's superpower is: Learning from examples.
By looking at patterns, making guesses, getting one wrong, and seeing more examples, Node discovers that learning can happen one example at a time.
I See a Pattern!: Little Bloch Meets Node is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to patterns, examples, prediction, learning, and a simple idea behind artificial intelligence through lovable characters and playful discovery.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to notice patterns, ask questions, learn from mistakes, and discover how examples can help us make better guesses.
Meet Little Bloch — a sparkly little qubit — and his clever buddy, Node. This time, Little Bloch and the boy discover that Node has another surprise. When the boy shows Node examples with red spots and blue wings, Node notices the patterns — then uses what he learned to make something brand new.
Node’s next superpower is: Using what he learned to make something new.
By looking at examples, finding their patterns, and combining what he has learned in a new way, Node discovers that learning is not only about making a good guess — it can also help create something that wasn’t there before.
Look What I Made!: Node’s Next Surprise is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to examples, patterns, learning, creativity, and a simple idea behind artificial intelligence through lovable characters and playful discovery.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to notice patterns, explore new ideas, ask questions, and discover how what we learn can help us create something new.
Meet Little Bloch — a sparkly little qubit — and his clever buddy, Node. This time, Little Bloch and Node join the girl for a brand-new adventure. As puffy clouds drift across the sky, the girl wonders if rain is on the way. Little Bloch and Node decide to use their superpowers together for the very first time.
Their combined superpower is: Using possibilities and patterns to make their best guess.
Little Bloch thinks about what might happen, while Node learns from examples and looks for patterns. By using their two superpowers as one, they discover how different kinds of thinking can work together to make a prediction — like a weather forecast.
Look at the Sky!: Little Bloch and Node’s Adventure is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to possibilities, patterns, prediction, weather forecasting, and a simple idea behind quantum AI through lovable characters and playful discovery.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to look for clues, notice patterns, think about what might happen next, and discover how different ideas can work together.
Meet Little Bloch — a sparkly little qubit — and his brave new friend, Cipher. This time, the boy and girl want to send a special message to each other. They want the message to stay secret along the way, and that is when Little Bloch introduces them to Cipher, a cheerful little character with a very special superpower.
Cipher’s superpower is: Encryption.
Cipher shows them how a message can be changed into a secret form so that others cannot understand what it says — and then changed back so the person it was meant for can read it.
Keep It Secret!: Little Bloch Meets Cipher is a colorful rhyming picture book that introduces young children to messages, secrets, encryption, and a simple idea behind cybersecurity through lovable characters and playful discovery.
Perfect for ages 3–7, bedtime reading, classroom read-alouds, curious little minds, and grown-ups who want to encourage children to think about secret messages, protecting what they share, and how encryption can help keep a secret safe.
Read-aloud and early-reader stories told in rhyming pairs of lines across 23 full-page illustrations, in an 8.5 × 8.5 inch square format. Little Bloch does the things a real qubit does — he glimmers, spins, keeps secrets, and takes new pathways — without a single equation in sight.
Perfect for ages 3–7, and for the grown-ups reading along.
A series that follows Little Bloch as he explores the worlds of quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity — one big idea at a time. Each book takes a single idea, gives it to a character, and lets children meet it years before the vocabulary arrives.
The Convergence Chronicles began as hard science fiction for adult readers — Cyber Inference, Book 1, follows the unraveling of AI consciousness and the quantum mysteries underneath it, and has since been adapted for television and the stage.
The Convergence Chronicles for Kids is the same universe, scaled down. The ideas the novels take four hundred pages to sit with — things that seem strange until you look closely, secrets that keep themselves, paths that split — turn out to work just as well in rhyme, for readers who aren't in school yet. Little Bloch is where that universe starts.
“Don't yuck my qubit!”
Five of Little Bloch's adventures are out now, with two more coming soon.
